Shipping and Returns Policy
When ordering goods or services using this site you are entering into a legally binding contract with How-to-repair.
Orders are dispatched within one working day. Most items are dispatched by Royal Mail or City Link. Delivery times can vary but most orders will arrive within three working days after dispatch but please allow ten working days before reporting an item as lost. This only applies to the UK Mainland; deliveries to offshore Islands will take longer.
Carriage charges vary according to the weight, size and value of the part(s) ordered. We will use Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class delivery or courier at our discretion. Once a parcel is accepted and signed for, the responsibility for it passes to the customer (not the signatory).
Express Delivery Terms (Next Day)
If you have requested Express Delivery, please note that the following conditions apply:
Orders for same day shipment (express delivery) must be in our system and paid for by 12.00pm (midday). Any orders received after this time, will be dispatched on the next business day. Please note that weekends and bank holidays do not count as business days.
EG Order received on a Friday at 10.30am, will be with you by Monday 6pm, Order Received on a Friday at 2pm will be with you by 6pm on the following Tuesday. Orders received over a weekend or Bank Holiday will be shipped on the next business day.
If you receive an item that has been damaged, please send us photographic evidence by email within 24 hours of delivery so that we can expedite dispatch of a replacement. We will require you to submit a form so that we can initiate a claim against the carrier.
Definition of Incorrect Goods
Please note that all spare parts are subject to design and specification changes by the manufacturer. Often the part provided may not be an exact match for the original but is deemed by the manufacturer to be a suitable alternative.
Returns, Refunds & Incorrect Goods
You have the right to return your order within 7 days after the date of delivery and no later than 14 days from the date of invoice whichever is the shorter. You are responsible for the safe return of any unwanted item(s).
Please contact us to obtain a returns number to include in the package and the return address for the spare part.
Your payment will be refunded for unused goods; delivery charges are not refundable unless the item is damaged, faulty or wrongly sent by us.
We cannot accept responsibility for items that have been damaged during fitting. Items that show signs of being fitted will not be accepted for refund. Always obtain a certificate of posting when returning items by mail.
Pcb’s, cuircuit boards cannot be returned due to the nature of the part.
We cannot accept responsibility for returned items that are lost in transit. We will not accept any package that is sent without the correct postage. Such packages are treated as undeliverable by the carrier.
Once we have received your return, products will be checked and appropriate refunds will be processed within 5 working days.
All parts supplied (except electronic components i.e. timers and modules) are guaranteed for 90 days from the date of supply against failure resulting from faulty manufacture. Parts which have been incorrectly fitted or misused will not be replaced under warranty. Timers and modules can be damaged by static electricity. These items cannot be returned for credit if they have been removed from the sealed packing.
All special orders are non-returnable. A special order is where we have made an order direct from the manufacturer. For us to confirm and warrant that the Part Code identified is correct, the customer must be able to quote a Serial No (or Appliance Build No) for internal verification. Any deviation from this policy will mean the part is not returnable save for problems with damaged in the post or the goods faulty.
