Hi.
I’ve got a fault with my Kenwood KIFF5017 integrated fridge freezer is not defrosting itsself. If I manually defrost it works fine but over a few weeks the freezer gets warmer and warmer. The condenser gets solid with ice.
I understand that this is due to the heater element not coming on but I’m struggling to find any good information on the best way to fault find. I guess the fault could be with the heating element. The control board or the sensor or timer that determines when to defrost.
I did try to find an appropriate service manual but drew a blank on that. I have found that it looks to be identical to the Hisense RIB291F4AWF. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have AEG RCB53325MW fridge freezer and defrosted twice, checked the heater element for continuity, checked that both fans work, the freezer works fine. I have taken out all internal panels to see if duct has frozen up but I cannot find any opening in the fridge or freezer for air to flow from one compartment to the other. i have noticed for some time the bottom right hand corner of the fridge accumulates a small amount of ice which would correspond to where a pipe leaves the freezer and and appears to go up behind the fridge.The fridge set at eco should be 4c but depending on weather struggles to get down to 12c with few items in it. Back of fridge is not cold.. The left hand side side panel gets up to about 44c but usually 37c and cools down quite quickly to room temp.
All condensation pipes are clear.
It is the lack of a duct that has really beaten me as I can find no information on a fridge freezer without one.

Hi, my John Lewis JLFFW2005 Fridge Freezer is cold on the freezer compartment but warm on the fridge compartment. If I turn it off overnight, the evaporation tray gets full, I empty it and plug the fridge freezer back on. It works for 6 to 7 days then same thing again.
Do I need new appliance or can I fix this or get it fixed?

The freezer section of my fridge freezer started extensively icing up a few months ago around the evaporator and fan. I have checked door seals, thermostat (2 in one) and defrost heater element all seem fine. Over the last week or two the freezer isn’t icing as badly but the top of the fridge is now icing up. Can you please advise what i should check next? Thanks
