I recently had an issue of no display lights on the front panel on our Hotpoint WML 540P(UK)C 6kg washing machine. Working as a lecturer in the motor industry I have a good knowledge base in electrical diagnostics and I identified the fault to the main controller module where one of the chips and a resistor were malfunctioning. I ordered a replacement unit and when I fitted it the lights came on although it would not operate when the start button was pressed. All the other buttons display and operate correctly and after watching one of your earlier videos where you went through a sequence to program a machine to perform a range of operations, I was wondering if there was prescribed method or program to factory reset the machine as this is a common occurrence in vehicles in the motor trade if electronic components are interchanged.

I have cleaned inside the hotpoint ariston aqd1070d washing machine and cleaned the rubber seal between the machine and the door for lint. Took out the filter at the bottom and washed it, added a cleaning tablet and ran the machine at 60 degrees. I have a picture of a plastic container inside the machine that looks dirty. But do not know how to dismantle it to take it out

My Hotpoint Ariston AQGMD 129/A EU washing machine works seemingly normal, everything works fine, until it start spinning in rinse phase; can not spin the full speed, it just accelerates a little, then slows down, start blinking and showing error F8.
