Have Candy CSV V9LG-80 tumble dryer. It runs for a few mins, then stops. The machine beeps 3 times and all led lights flash 21 times then 2 second pause then flash 21 times again etc etc.. Also (worryingly) the heater element remains energized and a hot smell comes from the machine even when the control knob is switched to off. Only opening the door or unplugging the unit shuts off the elements. I have tested continuity on the thermostats (2 on element and one on front by lint trap) and all have continuity.
Can you offer any suggestions? Many thanks, Kevin

Watched your video online. Took the cover off the back of the Candy GVS C9DCGB-80 tumble dryer, disconnected the cables from the 2 thermostats and the one on the left hasn’t got continuity. I’m guessing that’s the issue?

I have Hoover 8.5kg Link X Care Vented Tumble Dryer HLXV85TGX-AUS model. I am trying to locate the source of a “bump bump” noise that happens with each rotation of the drum. I have watched it while running with the top and lower front panel off and cannot see anything obviously wrong. I have felt the drum edge against the front rollers as I spun the drum by hand and there is nothing that would make the noise. I also can’t get the noise to happen by just spinning the drum by hand, only when it is running. Any idea what it might be? Otherwise do you think it is safe to just use with the noise? It is a brand new machine that I haven’t used yet. But I bought it off Facebook (still in the packaging) so no chance for warranty. Any advice you could give would be really appreciated! Thanks.

I have recently moved to Australia and since my household goods have arrived the tumble dryer just does not seem to be drying efficiently.

my wife was told me that the tumble dryer is now no longer heating. she did say some weird flashing lights came up, but when I asked her, she could not remember the sequence so I do not know what the error code is.
