Changing Your Fan Oven Element and Fan Motor

In this repair guide, we will explain how to change your fan oven element and fan motor. We hope you find this guide helpful.

Before starting, ensure the appliance is disconnected from the electricity for safety reasons.

We would recommend you watch our video since we're showing how easily you can fix the grill oven element problems.

Additionally, you can visit our web store to buy genuine spare parts: https://shop.how-to-repair.com/collections/cooker-oven-parts

The first step in this process is to prepare the cooker for repair. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the electricity and pulled out of its location for easy access. You can then proceed to remove the back panel of the cooker. For a more comfortable working experience, we also recommend you remove the oven door as well as the shelves and side liners.

Once the back panel is off, turn your attention to the inside of the cooker. You will see a fan guard typically secured with four screws. Some models might have a clip system or speed bolts that can be undone by hand. Carefully remove this panel.

The next step involves removing the fan blade. Remember to turn it clockwise to loosen it, which is the opposite of the standard procedure. This particular model has three screws securing the fan, but some models might have four. Some appliances also have a screw system at the rear of the machine, allowing the fan to twist off, usually in an anti-clockwise direction.

After the fan blade and screws are removed, disconnect the wiring from the motor. This model has two wires and an earth wire, but configurations may vary between different models. Once the wiring is disconnected, you can remove the motor.

Next, we move on to removing the fan oven element. Begin by disconnecting the wiring. It's crucial to remember where each wire came from for smooth reassembly later. Then, proceed to the front and undo the retaining clip that holds the element in place. This model has one clip, but some may have two or three. Also, remove the screws that secure the element.

Once the old parts are removed, install the new fan motor and oven element. Simply reverse the steps mentioned above to fit the new components.

By following these steps, you can successfully change your oven's fan element and fan motor. Remember, you can watch our video to avoid any potential problems.
