I will try and help with this problem with your AEG Electrolux T540 Tumble Dryer

Good morning, from the way you ​are​ describing the fault​ it sounds like you have an e61 fault​.

You need to test the heating circuit and also the thermostats. Make sure that you hoover out the machine of any fluff that might be blocking any vent tubes, I have included videos below that will help you find the fault. Not only do you need to check the heating circuit you will also need to make sure the pump is working correctly as on some models it will not be activated

E61 Error Code –

Insufficient heating (maximum time exceeded).

Possible fault heater unit faulty; Wiring faulty; NTC sensor incorrectly calibrated/out of position; Electronic board faulty.

Machine Status/Action Cycle paused.
