Dryer may start quietly then repetitive squeak heard to coincide with drum rotation – worsens until disturbingly loud. Hard to pinpoint origin but does not seem to be main bearing.Please advise how to trace and confirm cause? If economic DIY repair not possible will buy a BOSCH tumble Dryer.

I will try and help with this problem  on AEG T65170AV Tumble Dryer

Hi, thanks very much for the question, this is a common fault. You may have a problem either with the back bearing or possibly one of the support wheels on the drum, but it’s more common for the motor jockey wheel to have collapsed. You can inspect this using one of our videos I have listed below.
