I have an AEG T65270AC Condenser Tumble Dryer. The clothes are drying but not much water is collecting in the water tank. When I remove the condenser there is a lot of water in that bottom area. I have to manually remove it before i can dry another load. The condenser is clean and not blocked.A few weeks ago I heard a loud clunk from the machine and then grating type noises. Since then I’ve noticed the water. I’ve also noticed bits of cloth in the condenser and in the bottom of the machine. I’m wondering whether some material has got into the machine and caused a blockage somewhere.Any help would be much appreciated as I have had an engineer out but he couldn’t find a fault!!!

If it is not collecting water, it usually means there is an issue with the transfer pump. In the diagram below, you can see that there is a pump installed.
You need to check the pump and the pipes attached to the plastic which transfer water to the collection tray. The pump is labeled as number 6 in the diagram.
