Thanks for your brilliantly produced YouTube videos! My Beko BBRIF22300X oven’s fan is noisy. Tried tightening the nut that holds the fan blade on but this did not make a difference. There is a fair amount of play in the fan shaft so think maybe just wear?Anything else I can test before commiting to buying a new motor? Also, on taking the door off – I can’t find the latch shown on your video, maybe model is older? If so, is there a different trick to removing the door? Many thanks for you help.

I will try and help with this problem about Beko BBRIF22300X Oven,

Hi Nick, thanks for your kind words about the YouTube videos! I’m glad you find them helpful. I’m sorry to hear you’re running into a couple of issues with your Beko BBRIF22300X oven.

When an oven fan is noisy and you can feel a significant amount of play in the shaft, your suspicion is almost certainly correct: it points to wear and tear in the fan motor itself. You have already performed the correct first step by tightening the fan blade nut. Since that didn’t resolve the issue, it confirms the problem lies with the motor.

Over time, the bearings inside the motor housing wear down. This wear creates the wobble in the shaft that you’ve noticed, which in turn causes the rattling or grinding noise. Unfortunately, these bearings are internal to the motor unit and cannot be replaced separately.

Therefore, the only effective solution is to replace the entire fan motor assembly. When you click the link, it will take you up directly to our shop page.

When it comes to your oven door, some models can have different door removal mechanisms. While many newer Beko ovens use the small flip-over latches shown in some of our videos, other models have a different type of hinge lock. I’ve added related videos below so that you can solve your problem.

I’ve also included a workshop manual and wiring diagram for your Beko BBRIF22300X oven that might help you. If you need more help, feel free to contact me.

In the video, I mentioned about 5 common problems.;

  1. Oven will not heat because the element is faulty.
  2. Oven won’t heat because timer on manual.
  3. Oven won’t heat because of a fault with thermostat or selector switch.
  4. Oven not cooking evenly (one element faulty or fan not working correctly).
  5. Oven not reaching temperature normally an element but possible fan motor.

Coomon Problems with Electrical Ovens

  • The oven will not turn on

The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is, turn it on to manual.

  • No Heat in Oven

If the fan is running and the thermostat light comes on but you get no heat (or just the thermostat light on in non-fan ovens and cookers) then the probability is that the fan element or oven elements have failed.

  • Electricity trips (Rcd) when I turn the oven on or grill

This is normally an element that has gone to earth, This is a well-known fault with electric ovens, the insulation breaks down in the elements and trips the RCD , best way is to stick a meter on each element and check that they have not got earth leaks on them. But this can also be a wiring fault.

  • The grill element doesn’t work

This would usually indicate that the grill element is faulty. Check these: Grill element, Oven changeover switch, Overheat thermostat, Main oven thermostat, if used to regulate the grill temperature.

  • The oven fan is not working or spinning correctly (slow) or is noisy

The fan motor may need to be replaced see video on this also the cooling fan motor can cause same problems.

  • The oven overheats and burns everything

Normally this is a simple thermostat failure which would manifest itself as this symptom.

  • The oven or cooker cuts out after it’s been on for a while

This is an overheating problem which can be caused by the fan motor or main oven thermostat or a faulty safety thermostat that will be causing the problem. It can also be caused by a failure of the cooling fan, where fitted, but usually these go noisy before failing, Safety thermostats are used to prevent the oven or cooker overheating and will shut the oven down.
