Beko DHY7340W Heat Pump Tumble Dryer Occasional Screeching Sound

Ours is really clean inside the casing – we clean the filters regularly. The motor, fan, belt and pulley wheels and drum support wheel all seem fine and undamaged. The drum rotates freely by hand. Any ideas? Thanks, David.

Thanks very much for the video and I’m sorry to hear about the problem you’re having with your heat pump tumble dryer. You didn’t quite get to the machine in time but that’s always the same. It always goes quiet when you’re in front of it.

I could hear the noise and it sounds like possibly the drum rubbing for a short period of time or it could be a bearing making a noise occasionally and then stopping. This might be caused by heat but until I get a much clearer view of when it’s happening, it is very hard for me to point you in the right direction.

I would be looking at the fan blades and any bearings on pulley wheels or even possibly the back bearing on the machine. It can also be coming from the front support wheels or pads but I will upload the workshop manual to assist you in your repair.

If you do get a better video do send it and I will look again.
