I believe I have a motor capacitor issue. I have located the motor of my tumblr however can’t see the capacitor so I wanted to check whether I have a BEKO DTKCE80021W Condenser Tumble Dryer that has a capacitor built into the motor or if I should be able to change it myself.

I understand you’re having trouble with your Beko tumble dryer, model DTKCE80021W. I’ve checked the schematics and can confirm it uses a new motor design where the capacitor is built-in. This means that if the capacitor has failed (which usually causes a humming sound), the entire motor needs to be replaced or you might be able to strip it to see if you can replace it I have not done one of these yet but I think it will make a good video in future.
Unfortunately, this is a case of built-in obsolescence. A repair that once cost under £15 for a new capacitor now requires buying a complete motor assembly if it’s faulty. Here is the motor assembly link for you.
I’ve obtained the exploded diagrams and workshop manual for your dryer, which includes the wiring diagram. It will show you how to test the motor, run diagnostics, and view stored error codes. I recommend reviewing these procedures carefully for troubleshooting. It’s also worth checking for a jammed drum, though this is a less common issue.
If you are able to fix your Beko dryer, don’t forget about regular maintenance. Clearing out lint build-up will help it dry more efficiently and use less energy.
