Can i change the shaft on the drum on my Hotpoint tcm580p

Hi I have been told that I need to buy a whole new drum for my hotpoint tcm580p tumble dryer the bearing has worn through the shaft. What can I do to repair it?

This will save you a load of money as new repair kit is now available

The manufacture now sells a Bearing Drum shaft Repair Kit (For Riveted Drums) they use to only sell the complete drum. this can be used on these Hotpoint models HOTPOINT TCM580G, HOTPOINT TCM580P, HOTPOINT TCM585BG, HOTPOINT TCM585BP
I made a video a while back that show how to remove the old plate although they say you can drill the old ones out I prefer to grind them of as in the video because it will not leave any burs on the drum that can snag your clothes. its your choice how you want to do it.
