I will try and help with this problem about Diplomat Select 620 Oven,

Good morning, Stephen.

Based on the information about your Diplomat Select 620, it appears to be an ex-MFI machine. Unfortunately, I don't know the manufacturer, and the only detail I have is APL 3401. Without the full model and serial numbers, I can't provide links to the parts. However, let's go through the fault to help you.

If your oven isn't heating and you've confirmed the fan oven element is fine, it suggests there's no power reaching the fan oven setting. This could be due to several issues. First, check if the fan motor in the oven is rotating correctly. If it spins at the proper RPM but there's no heat, the problem might be with the heating circuit.

The selector switch could be faulty. Inspect it closely for signs of burning or charring on the points within the switch, as this might prevent power from reaching the fan oven element. You can test this with a multimeter at the fan oven element to see if you're getting 240 volts. If you don't have a multimeter, you can buy a new multimeter via our affiliate link. We will earn a small commission if you purchase through it, but it won't cost you any extra. Amazon pays this to us.

If the fan motor isn't turning and there's no heat, it could be a simple issue with the timer. If the timer is set to auto, it won't send power to the fan oven on that setting. The timer typically controls the fan oven but not always the grill. Check if there's a relay on the timer that allows power to pass through the selector switch thermostat to reach the fan oven element.

I'm sorry I don't have wiring diagrams or technical information for this cooker since I can't identify its manufacturer yet. I hope this helps, but without accurate model information, I can't consult workshop manuals or provide further assistance.

Have a good day,
Paul
