Electrolux EWF9024CDWA Washing Machine Is Leaking From Bottom

Hi Paul hope you are well. I noticed that my Electrolux EWF9024CDWA washing machine is leaking water from the bottom but I can’t tell exactly where the leak is coming from. The leak usually starts during the washing or spinning cycle and it leaves a puddle on the floor. The hoses seem to be connected tightly and I’m not sure what else could cause this. Please help me mate. I am ready to donate you for some beer.

Hi John, I’m sorry to hear about the problem with your Electrolux washing machine. I’m currently at a trade show IFA in Berlin and will be away for a couple of weeks. That’s why, I’m not in the workshop right now. However, I got Starlink so I am able to access to internet.

There are a few reasons why your washing machine might be leaking. First, make sure the water supply connection is tight and that there are no twists or clogs in the hoses. Check the gaskets on each hose to ensure they aren’t loose or damaged. It’s also important to make sure that the pump filter is clean and that there’s no debris in the filter cavity.

Additionally, the washing machine should be level and balanced on its feet. Overloading the machine can cause it to leak and prevent the detergent from rinsing out properly. Double-check that the door is fully closed, as water may leak if it’s not sealed tightly. You should also inspect the door lock to ensure it’s functioning correctly. If anything is stuck in the door, remove it and push the door until you hear it lock. Similarly, the detergent drawer needs to be fully closed, as an incomplete seal can lead to leaks.

I suspect the issue could also be with the door seal or the sump hose coming off the drain pump. Carefully check the door seal for any rips, tears, or holes.
