Hi, my dryer which is only 2 years old is showing an E21 error, i cannot seem to find any local repair outlets especially with the current situation. I noticed a guide on the rear thermostat and on mine the connectors are slightly charred so as a first step for £8 i replaced this and still no joy. I wonder if you could offer any help to a guy without any electrical testing equipment? Many Thanks

I will try and help with this problem…
without having a multimeter it is very difficult to repair any electrical Appliance, you can purchase a multimeter quite cheaply and it is well worth having. a link below, I have put a lot of videos below to assist you and also included a manual that I found for this model.
the first thing I would check is the whole heating system you need to use the multimeter to check for continuity on the element and also the thermostats, you then need to check the condensing unit I’m making sure it is all clear, there is a design faulton the circuit boards where the relay becomes faulty this is due to it not being strong enough.
thermostats fail for many reasons
Both condenser and vented tumble dryers use very similar heating systems. They usually have one or two thermostats or sensors on the front and one or two thermostats on the back on the heating element.
Thermostat’s fail because of several reasons.
1 the machine is interrupted in mid-cycle without letting the machine cool down (opening the door to check washing can cause this)
2 bad air flow through the machine (caused by not cleaning filters etc.) see these videos https://www.how-to-repair.com/help/?s=How+to+service+a+tumble+dry
3 overloading can restrict air flow
The tumble dryers have normally two thermostats fitted on the heating element housing located on the back. These are prime candidates when diagnosing no heat faults on tumble dryers.
One thermostat is normally the cycle thermostat and the other is a safety this is the one that normally blows when overheating takes place.
