Hoover tumble dryer VHV 680C Won’t start

I will try and help with this problem with your Hoover tumble dryer. there were 3 models of these listed below

V 680C-80	31100398		1022 (04/06/2010)		ALL MARKETS
VHV 680C-S	31100406		1026 (30/06/2010)		ALL MARKETS
VHV 680C-OS	31100643		1530 (24/07/2015)	1752 (31/12/2017)	ALL MARKETS

 

the first thing you need to check is the door lock mechanism and pin 826 and 520 if this is not activating correctly then the machine will not start, sometimes the machine will not start if you have an additional fault check the heating system and the two thermostats that are on top of the heater, also inspect the plastic bits on the facial panel as the can become brittle and snap (see diagrams) below i have listed some videos to help and also the parts for this model.
