I have cleaned inside the hotpoint ariston aqd1070d washing machine and cleaned the rubber seal between the machine and the door for lint. Took out the filter at the bottom and washed it, added a cleaning tablet and ran the machine at 60 degrees. I have a picture of a plastic container inside the machine that looks dirty. But do not know how to dismantle it to take it out

Hi again Paul Here at the photos of the plastic container, and I think I found the serial number

It may be difficult with the drum inside the machine accessing the screws
You need to separate the aluminium plate on top to clean inside here as well
The front panel normally needs to come off to detach the door seal from the aluminium heater ducting unit

Thanks for sending me the update. I don’t have a workshop manual for this machine, but I can tell you it’s quite a bit of work. However, it will be worth it because it will make the dryer much more efficient.
You’ll need to strip down the aluminium fan assembly at the top. This usually has a lot of fluff and debris because the air flows through it. Once you’ve removed the aluminium piece, you’ll be able to access the rear condensing plate. Water trickles down this plate, so the hot steam from drying clothes condenses. The cleaner it is, the more efficient your washer-dryer will be at drying clothes.
It is a big job because sometimes you might need to remove the drum from the machine. This is because you can’t always get screwdrivers and other tools to the bolts that release the condenser plate. I’m sorry I don’t have a workshop manual or a video explaining exactly how to do it, but it’s quite logical once you take the front panel off the machine. You’ll need to take the lid off as well.
There is a chance you might be able to remove these components without taking the drum out, but often it’s a full strip-down of the machine. I hope this helps you. I’ve also added a link below to your exact model number in case you ever need any parts.
