Reference telephone call i have checked the heater and both sides of the element are good but one of the rear thermostats are open circuit serial number 509220069

I will try and help with this problem with your Hotpoint TVFS73BGP tumble dryer
When your tumble dryer is not heating there is a good chance that it may be the thermostats, after having a conversation with you on the telephone we know that the one thermostat is open circuit, therefore, you will need to replace it, you should always replace both thermostats as they come in a kit, to stop this happening again I always recommend that customers leave a cycle finish before opening the door and you should never change the program in mid-cycle without letting the machine having its 10 minutes cooling down as this will cause the machine to overheat and blow the one-shot thermostat. (this is the safety cut out to prevent it getting too hot) you should always clean the filter after every load and make sure that the machine is venting the correctly this meaning that there was no kink in the rear vent tube or any restriction in a flow
