Hi I have been told that I need to buy a whole new drum for my Indesit IDV65 tumble dryer the bearing has worn through the shaft. What can I do to repair it?

The manufacturer now sells a Bearing Drum shaft Repair Kit (For Riveted Drums) it use to only sell the complete drum. this can be used also on these Indesit models  IDV65SUK, IDV65UK, IDV75SUK, IDV75UK, IDVA735SUK, IDVA735UK, IDC75SUK, IDC75UK, IDC85KUK, IDC85SUK, IDC85UK, IDCA735UK, IDCA8350SUK, IDCA8350UK, IDCA835SUK, IDCA835UK, IDCE8450BKUK, IDCE8450BSUK, IDCE8450BUK, IDCE845KUK, IDCE845SUK, IDCE845UK

I made a video a while back that show how to remove the old plate although they say you can drill the old ones out I prefer to grind them of as in the video because it will not leave any burs on the drum that can snag your clothes. its your choice how you want to do it.
