indesit lWD145S(UK) washing machine can,t open door and display shows 0:01

Hi Paul I would appreciate your help. My washing machine completed a wash cycle but then ended with the display showing 0:01 and the red light for the door on, so couldn’t open. I switched the power off and eventually got the door open. I emptied the clothes put the washing machine on a spin cycle, and other short wash cycles, with no clothes, they all had the time displayed but no turning of the drum. All of the cycles I tried finished with the display showing 0:01 and red light for door so I couldn’t open.I assume I have a programme fault, but any help you can give will be appreciated.

After having a look at this fault it is not showing an error code but I suspect that the carbon brushes in the motor may be worn out, this would be the first thing I would check, also while you’re doing the job it is worth making sure you do not have any blockages on the pump system including sump hose.
