LG F1247TD washing machine Drum wont turn

I have replaced the haul sensor on my washing machine after watching one of the videos, but the motor will still not turn. the drum is very stiff and when the machine fills with water it tries to turn but stops, after having a conversation with you on the phone, I have had great trouble removing the element but after finding out that there was an additional nut holding the earth wire on the element. I eventually managed to get it out and lo and behold found this sock wrapped around it

Most of the time with Lg washing machine direct drive systems when they do not turn it is normally a fault with the motor or the haul sensor but you normally get a rocking action on the motor, but in your case, the drum has seized and stopped the machine from turning.
