Hi, I’ve run into an issue with my Neff D86GR22N0B/03 cooker hood light and could use some help. I went to change the bulb, but I must have been too forceful because I ended up pulling the whole light fitting loose. It’s now just hanging there, and I can’t seem to get it to clip back in securely. I think the fitting itself might be broken and needs replacing along with the bulb. Can anyone guide me through what I need to do to fix this?

Hi Olivia, sorry to hear about the problem with your Neff D86GR22N0B/03 Cooker Hood,

Those light fitting clips can be quite delicate, and it’s easy to be a bit too heavy-handed when a bulb is stuck tight. I can understand your frustration when a simple job like changing a bulb turns into a bigger issue, but don’t worry, this is definitely something you can fix.

Before you do anything else, disconnect the cooker hood from the mains power. You can do this by switching it off at the fuse box or unplugging it from the wall socket if accessible. This is the most important step to ensure your safety.
