I have a Whirlpool BI WDWG 961484 UK Washer Dryer. It washes fine just will not dry at all. No error messages. Loved your video on washer dryers but would like to know if there are any hidden diagnostics on this machine and how to test HTCs and thermostats.

Sorry to hear about the problem with your Whirlpool BI WDWG 961484 UK Washer Dryer. Whirlpool is one of the brands I don’t have all the workshop manuals and technical information for, but I did find an exploded diagram of the machine.
If your washer dryer isn’t drying, first check if the machine starts and goes into its tumble cycle. If it does, you need to inspect the heating system. The heating system usually has a couple of thermostats and possibly a safety cut-out thermostat.
If the tumble dryer is heating but still not drying, there might be an issue with one of the water valves involved in the condensing process. You can identify this by looking for a pipe leading to the condenser plate. Also, note that the pump will activate occasionally to empty collected water during drying.
