Replaced the heater element and temp sensor and this didn’t solve the issue. The test mode also stops with F12. pressing the reset button twice after starting the test sequence doesn’t advance through the individual tests. It always stops with F12. Could it be the main control unit?

To try and help with this problem…

Good morning F12 is a heater related problem, if you have checked the heating element and also no the NTC sensor and it is working correctly then there is a large possibility the circuit board may be faulty, do not despair as there is a possibility that a small component on the circuit board has gone faulty this is called a relay. I have not made a video on washing machine relays yet but I did do one recently on a Hoover tumble dryer you need to start watching the video at about 10 minutes in it will explain how the relays work and what to do. I have put the link below and also listed some of the parts that fit your machine.
once you have tested the relay and know that it is faulty please come back to me and I will try and source the relay for you, they are not expensive normally costing under 10 pound

F12- Heater element short circuit

  • Check water heating element
  • Check relay if fitted
  • Check wiring to heating element and PCB connection
