Hi Paul, just located and tested the exhaust thermostat you mentioned and that also has continuity so now I’m really puzzled. Would it be worth retesting the inlet & exhaust thermostats with a heat source (hairdryer etc) to see if they will go open circuit?(0312 447 15002/1)heater element -ok reads 47ohms on both (no s/c to ground)inlet thermostat continuity- ok (0.03)safety cut-out stat (red button)- no defined click but will read open and closed- exhaust stat – not checked

I will try and help with this problem with your White Knight CL447WV Tumble Dryer

First, it would be a good idea to test a thermostat with a heat source but this will only show you that it is opening and closing- it will not tell you the temperature at which it should open and close, from what I can see it should be around 60 centigrade.
The reset thermostat at the back of the machine might also need replacing.
I have listed all 3 thermostats that are fitted to this machine. If you are in any doubt it is worth replacing all as this is the only thing that controls the heat on your dryer.
Also are also some videos below to help you replace the parts.
