Zanussi ZDC 37200W Tumble Dryer Not heating clothes and pause/start light flashing red

Seems to work for a while and then starts beeping and the start/pause light flashes red. If I open the door the clothes do not seem very warm.

I will try and help with this problem on your Zanussi ZDC 37200W Tumble Dryer

Good afternoon Rob

There are many things that can cause this type of problem- I will try and go through them in the order of the most common.

Check the thermostats there are normally 3 altogether – two on the heater and one on the front venting system.
Next test the heating element – there is a high and low circuit and you need to test both sides of this heater.
As this condenser tumble dryer has a water dispenser system sometimes you have a pump fitted that can get clogged, also sometimes there is a switch system that tells the computer when it is full of water and therefore this will cut out the heating system.
The next one that may be at fault is the printed circuit board. I have included some videos below to help you in all these repairs and if you do need a part please let me know.
