- You have two ways that this can be done, you can replace from the bottom of the machine if there is no base plate fitted, or you can take the front of depending on your model.

- Once you have gained access to the pump you will need to remove the hoses from the pump by undoing the clips, which will be one of two type jubilee type or clapped type.

- Disconnect the wires that are attached to the pump and take note of which terminals they came off. (Taking a photo is always a good way).

    Hiya Paul and folks,
I have an AEG washing machine model L87680FL product no. 914531226 01. Last month I had error message e20 and replaced the filter. All was well until late last week when I came to empty the washer when I noticed water in the drum. This has happened twice and there is also a horrible smell.
I have emptied the water by opening the latch on the filter. Now I am at a loss as to whether it can be the pump that is faulty or the pipe where the water drains.
If it is the pump, I know I have to unplug from the electric mains, but do I also need to unplug the machine from the water supply too or can this be done in situ?
