Beko oven not heating up, How to replace a Beko fan oven element.

This cooker tutorial is on a Beko oven that is not heating up or tripping the electric supply (earth trip or Rcd on fuse board) it can be used on free standing Beko cooker or built in cookers.

Finding the faults:

1. The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is turn it on to manual.

2. When you turn the oven on that the thermostat light comes on, then after 5 minutes you find that you do not have any heat in the oven then this is a good indication that the oven element has blown and need replacing.

3. If when you turn the oven on and it trips the electricity (this is the earth trip or Rcd on fuse board) then you have a very good chance that the oven element has gone to earth. You will need to test the element with a mega (earth insulation tester) if there are no clear signs that it has blown.

4. On most built in ovens you will need to remove the oven from its housing and then start taking it apart.

How to replace your fan oven element in your Beko cooker.

1. Disconnect the appliance from the electric supply!
2. Take of the door according to your hinge types see videos on this. This gives you more room to work and stops any damage accruing to the door or hinges.
3. Now you can remove all oven shelves in the cooker.
4. Take out the fan guard at the back by removing the screws.
5. You now need to remove the element screws (see video on this) some can be removed from inside front of oven others have to be removed from back.
6. Disconnected the wirers from the element (always good practise to take notes of where they came from of take a photograph)
7. Test element for fault, see our video on this
8. If the element is faulty replace it.

    Hi,
I’m trying to replace the element on my BDC643 and have watched your “how to” video. I’ve removed the fan guard, internal element screw and the screws on the outside of the oven, but am now stuck, as the back panel appears to be wired to the oven and movement is very restricted….. Please help….

  6. Hi Paul.

Great guide. Thanks. I only got half way because my oven is still installed in situ. Your video guide shows the oven away from the kitchen cabinet. How do I release my Beko oven from the kitchen cabinet, please?

    Best wishes,

    Nick

HI, I have a Beko OTF12300X and the main oven is not heating anymore. I have checked the element visually and it appears fine. I have measured resistance at the element terminals and it is what I would expect it to be. On checking the voltage at the terminals (after switching the oven on) there is no voltage reaching the terminals. The fan in the main oven is getting power and turning as normal when the oven is switched on but there is no power getting to the element. Any suggestions on what the issue may be and which part is needed?

Hi Paul I have a BEKO model OIF21100 in built cooker/oven. It apprars that I have the back oven element failed ie timer ,oven light, thermostat all working correctly but no heat.Grill element and fan working ok. Well backplate off exposing fan blades and element, then remove screw to holding clip but then at a stop. No screws to release element from element lugs behind oven back plate. Does this mean I have to remove complete oven from within kitchen unit to get to withholding element nuts behind back plate or should I just be prising harder to remove element lugs from front. Your help please.

    Hi,
I have a BEKO oven and when i turn the knob nothing happens, no light goes on to indicate the oven
is turned on either. Could it be a fuse is blown? And if so, where can i find the fuse to check?

    Thx for the help.

    • sorry for the late reply
First you need to make sure the timer is not on auto, then you need to inspect the selector switch, also there might be a cut out thermostat . If you need for the help please feel free to call me.

Hi Paul I have a Beko BS530W, it has suddenly started tripping the RCD when the front 2 elements on the Hob are turned on. Could this be both elements blown or something else? Thanks Leon

Hi I have a BEKO BDC643W, the fan does not come on in the main oven and also the light does not come on inside and there is no heat. but the Hobs and the top grill works fine.
Could this be the element or fan or the light bulb blown aswell? Would appreciate your suggestions.

    Hi guys…

I got a Beko BD533AW fan oven.. i replaced a burnt out element thanks to one of the above videos but now there are differing temperature zones within the oven.. When cooking a pizza the side closest to the fan/element is more cooked than the side at the door… it IS only a small area on the lesser cooked side but i used to be a chef and it’s driving me peculiar.. I was under the impression that fan ovens distributed heat evenly.

    Any ideas?

    Jojo

i have a built-in double oven QDM246B. The door shuts but the light in the oven stays on and the oven will not heat up. Everything else is working fine, clock, timer, temp etc Could this be due to a fault with the oven door?
