To take out a motor on a Brandt washing machine might sound scary, but it’s a surprisingly easy to replace and then fit the carbon brushes.

- Remove the back panel.

- Then you need to remove the washing machine belt that is attached to the motor and drum pulley.

- You will now need to remove the bolts that attach the motor to the washing machine drum.

- Release the motor of the drum brackets or lugs, be careful it’s heavy.

- Next you need to remove the old Brandt carbon brushes.

- You need to clean the armature up.

- Fit new Brandt carbon brushes according to the video instruction.

After watching your video I now realise my indesit washer dryer needs a set of brush as my machine now stops spinning. It fills up and make the necessary sounds but does not spin. My machine model is IWDE77125S. can you recommend a set of brush that will fit my machine and if you have any in stock. Thanks

have just removed the motor and looked at the brushes, they both look ok but are a little black to touch, they don’t look scored or laminated, there was some black dust on the back of the rear panel when i removed it, the machine is a blomberg wnf 6221 and was bought new on 31/12/ 2015, it never has had that much use, never more than 4 times a week, is it likely to be the motor burnt out or the brushes?

    Hello,
I was looking on your Youtube “Oven Not Heating, Selector Switch Fault on Oven” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8DemKB6uSk). The presenter/tecnition have mentioned you can help on finding parts.
I have De Dietrich (CX4744/4844) oven/coocker. I need to find a new Selector Switch – can you help find?
    Please advise.
