Bosch SGI43E02GB/16 integrated dishwasher Heating cycle is not initiated

by / Saturday, 14 January 2023 / Published in

Hi on this Bosch dishwasher it seems to perform each element in a cycle correctly, except that the heating cycle does not initiate. Therefore the machine just sticks after the fill, pumping the water to the spray arms in a wash cycle, but with cold water. It does not progress further than this, so it seems that the cycle is taking for ever.I have investigated/tested the individual components involved and non seems to be faulty. I have found that when the machine goes into this "not heating" state, if I open the door and then close it the heating cycle initiates straight away. The programme progresses to the next water heating point where it stalls again. Opening the door again allows it to continue, heat the water, and finish. Have you any idea which component might be causing this please?

I will try and help with this problem integrated dishwasher Bosch SGI43E02GB

There are several possible reasons why a Bosch SGI43E02GB dishwasher may not be heating: it is very hard for me to diagnose this problem if I do not have the machine on my workbench, but here are some guides for you

  1. Thermostat failure: The thermostat is responsible for regulating the temperature of the dishwasher. If it is not working properly, the dishwasher may not heat up.
  2. Relay failure, intermittent. It is possible that one of the relays on the circuit board might not be working correctly all the time.
  3. Heating element failure: The heating element is responsible for generating heat to wash the dishes. If it is not working properly, the dishwasher may not heat up. 00491756 Replacement of 00483257
  4. Wiring issues: If the wiring that connects the heating element and thermostat is damaged or not connected properly, the dishwasher may not heat up.
  5. Control module failure: The control module controls all the functions of the dishwasher, including the heating element. If the control module is not working properly, the dishwasher may not heat up.
  6. Water pressure issue: If the water pressure is too low, the dishwasher may not be able to heat the water properly, resulting in dishes not being washed at the correct temperature.
