Hoover DXC510W31/1-80 Washing machine keeps filling

Hi we have an old Hoover Washing Machine thats seems to keep filling with water, the motor seems fine as do the electronics,Im at a complete loss as to why this has started to happen,sorry im not sure where to locate the serial number. thanks in advance

I will try and help with this problem with your Hoover DXC510W31/1-80 washing machine

I suspect you may have an issue with the water inlet valve. If your washer continues to fill during a cycle, the water inlet valve could be faulty. If the washer continues to fill after the machine is unplugged then the water inlet valve is defective and will need replacing.  If the washer stops filling when unplugged then the problem could be related to the pressure switch that controls the valve.

I have added some video tutorials to help you check and test the water valve and the switch , you will be able to easily change either of these as long as you follow the procedures set out in the videos.
