Hi William

If your Beko OIM22300X Oven is not heating or tripping the electric supply there is a good chance that the fan oven element has blown. I have included some videos below to help you test and then replace the element. Also I have include a list of parts for your Beko OIM22300X Oven cooker.

For your future reference I’ve included some Common faults with these Beko OIM22300X Oven cookers to assist you in the future or anyone else reading this.

  • The oven will not turn on
The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is turn it on to manual.
  • No Heat in Oven
If the fan is running and the thermostat light comes on but you get no heat (or just the thermostat light on in non-fan ovens and cookers) then the probability is that the fan element or oven elements have failed.
  • Electricity trips (Rcd) when I turn the oven on or grill
This is normally an element that has gone to earth, This is a well-known fault with electric ovens, the insulation breaks down in the elements and trips the RCD , best way is to stick a meter on each element and check that they have not got earth leaks on them. But this can also be a wiring fault.
  • The grill element doesn't work
This would usually indicate that the grill element is faulty. Check these: Grill element, Oven changeover switch, Overheat thermostat, Main oven thermostat, if used to regulate the grill temperature.
  • The oven fan is not working or spinning correctly (slow) or is noisy
The fan motor may need to be replaced see video on this also the cooling fan motor can cause same problems.
  • The oven overheats and burns everything
Normally this is a simple thermostat failure which would manifest itself as this symptom.
  • The oven or cooker cuts out after it's been on for a while
This is an overheating problem which can be caused by the fan motor or main oven thermostat or a faulty safety thermostat that will be causing the problem. It can also be caused by a failure of the cooling fan, where fitted, but usually these go noisy before failing, Safety thermostats are used to prevent the oven or cooker overheating and will shut the oven down.

Hi, my Beko OIM22300X oven trips the RCD when any function selected even the internal light. When I isolate the internal light, back fan and oven element, the grill heats up and top fan works but if I connect either the lamp or back fan or oven element individually it trips. There is a switch in the top cavity at the back (above the light fixing) with a main live feed on one side and live on the other (both brown wires) could this be at fault? or is it likely to be a short somewhere else? I have tested the oven element and have a good circuit. The oven has hardly been used and is a replacement from another house where it was working fine. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards, Gary.

The fan and light are working if I remove both grey and yellow wires from the element so I guess its the element that is tripping the supply even though I tested for resistance and it appears ok. Could it be anything else thats causing the short other than the element? Thank you

    Hi.
My mum’s Beko OIM22300X fan oven is not powering. There is power to the clock, but no power to the oven itself, or the light within the oven.
Any thought as to what the problem may be?
    Thanks.

Hi, my Beko OIM22300x fan oven isn’t working. There is power to the oven because the clock is lit up and the timer counts down when set but when I turn the oven function switch nothing is happening at all, none of the functions work and the oven light doesn’t come on. I’m suspecting the switch could be faulty but do you have any other ideas and any advice on how I would check if it is the problem. HELP!
