Neff cooker U1421N2GB/01 oven element connections

by / Wednesday, 14 June 2017 / Published in

Hi Paul, an element I replaced has subsequently blown, when I was pulling out the element, two of the connecting wires came free and are now inaccessible behind the back plate that supports the fan (The plate at the very back of the oven.) I am happy I can remove the fan and plate to gain access to the wires but I am unsure in what sequence I should re- attach the wires to the element, can you help please?

I will try and help with this problem Neff U1421N2GB/01 oven

Hi Paul, the easiest way to do this is to actually Slide the cooker out and remove the backplate this will give you clean access to the terminals on the fan of an element, I do not want to tell you which wire's go where until I have seen some photographs but normally there is a live and neutral wire going to either side of the element. please feel free to give us a call and I will try and help you or you can send the photographs to my email address with you have

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me. all the best Paul.

    Hi Paul,

    I have a Neff oven, U1421S2GB
It is split into a top oven and main oven. Both ovens have their own dials and a temperature light that normally goes bright red when turned on and turns off when the oven reaches temperature.

The top oven light still does this, but when the oven is off, the temp light remains on, only duller than normal.

Does this mean a part is faulty? Or does the bulb need replacing? I am unsure, but struggling to get any help from Neff.

    Hi,
I have a neff U1421N2GB /05. It’s developed a fault with the top oven. If I select oven on the dial it’s fine, but as as soon as I turn the temperature up it trips the RCD. If I select grill and turn the temperature up it doesn’t trip and the grill element gets hot.

Do you know if this is fixable and which part is needed? I appreciate any help you can give.

    Thanks
    Matt
