May thanks for your help

I am looking for the Inner glass for my Siemens Micro -wave Combi oven, HB86P572P/09.

The unit is operating OK but the glass is cracked.

How do I remove the glass?
Do i need to remove the entire door? if so, how as there are no obvious clips to allow removal.
Or do I remove the 2x screws on the face of the door along with the 2 along the rear edge.

    Is this correct?

    Regards

    Jake Dempster

    Hello Jake,
I imagine you sorted your oven door long ago.

Having just replaced one -and in view of the lack of responses- i thought i’d describe the process briefly.
Just to be clear, I am describing replacement of the inner door glass on a Siemens HB86P575/45 combination oven.
If part numbers are any indicator, then many other oven doors will be the same or similar.

Firstly, you don’t need to remove the door, but in doing so you can get gravity on your side by lying the door flat on a table or workbench. i’d recommend it.

Open the door and undo the 2 tork head screws at the top, the front panel will now be loose and you can lift it off and stash it out of harm’s way.

With the outer panel off you can now see 2 birght silver hingeplates in the lower corners of the door, each held by 2 screwa with washers. Open the door until its first stop point (approx 15 degrees) and remove the four screws and the 2 silver hingeplates: The door will now slide upwards off the fingers of the hinges and you can lay it on a flat surface (covered with a blanket or towel if only to catch glass fragments).

Next you need to remove the outer door skin (enamelled m/steel pressing). This is done by removing the 2 tork head screws in the upper corners then lifting it upwards and out of the 2 hooks at the bottom corners.

With the outer skin removed you can see 2 bright silver spring clips in the top corners with a single screw holding each. Remove these and then lift out the glas panels one at a time. (The second of these has 2 side brackets which serve to locate it but are not fixed, simply held in by the first glass panel)

Now you are looking at a sea of tork head bolts (24 if i recall) ina rectangular pattern. They all need to come out, at which stage the inner glass frame will be free and you can remove the inner glass and the gauze screen which it sits against.
Once you’ve cleaned the gauze and the frame, sit the gauze and your new glass in place and centralize the frame onto the glass. Now put the screws back loosely, only start tightening them when youre sure that the glass and frame are comfortable.

The reassembly is easy, just retrace your steps. cleaning as you go. Don’t forget that the assembled door goes back on the oven without its glass outer panel. That goes on last.

    Good luck!

I also have a vertical crack through the inner glass on the Siemens HB86P572B/09. If I replace the inner glass, should I replace the door seal (0485 on the diagram above) at the same time or can I get away with just replacing the glass?
