SIEMENS KG34NA10GB/04 loses temperature

by / Thursday, 20 April 2017 / Published in

the cooler section stopped working - and became warm. We thought it might be the fan which has frozen and so we defrosted the appliance overnight. There was a lot of ice! now the alarm is going and I wonder what the correct temperature is to set it.??

I will try and help with this problem with your SIEMENS KG34NA10GB/04 fridge freezer

You have done the correct thing, you should defrost it for at least 24 to 48 hours with both doors open then we plug the machine in it will automatically start working and should reach temperature in 12 hours, if you find that the fridge freezer is now working correctly then you had a problem with the defrost system or one of the senses, it is also possible that the ice build-up in the freezer area was causing the fan not to blow air to the fridge compartment, I have put some videos below to help you understand how the default system works and also how to test fridge freezer defrost elements
