Seems to work for a while and then starts beeping and the start/pause light flashes red. If I open the door the clothes do not seem very warm.

I will try and help with this problem on your Zanussi ZDC 37200W Tumble Dryer

Good afternoon Rob

There are many things that can cause this type of problem- I will try and go through them in the order of the most common.

  •  Check the thermostats there are normally 3 altogether -  two on the heater and one on the front venting system.
  • Next test the heating element - there is a high and low circuit and you need to test both sides of this heater.
  • As this condenser tumble dryer has a water dispenser system sometimes you have a pump fitted that can get clogged, also sometimes there is a switch system that tells the computer when it is full of water and therefore this will cut out the heating system.
  • The next one that may be at fault is the printed circuit board.  I have included some videos below to help you in all these repairs and if you do need a part please let me know.

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me. all the best Paul.

    Hi Paul,
Thanks for getting back to me. Actually I got it wrong, there is some heat so I don’t think it is the heater. However, I had a look at the back of the dryer and noticed a little rubber hose. I took the clip off and and removed the stop and lots of water came out, I tipped the dryer up and it took a couple of goes to get rid of it. Does this mean there is a draining problem?
Just found an article about service mode and the code I am getting is 6 red flashes followed by 2 green, if that helps.
    Thanks

    • Good morning rob if the lights are flashing 6 times and then two times on the other color this will be error code 62
      E62
Power relay to heater unit faulty.
Possible fault Heater unit faulty; Wiring faulty; Electronic board faulty.
      Machine Status/Action Forced cooling cycle.

first you will need to check the heater and the thermostats but I suspect that you may have a fault with the relay on the circuit board I have made a video recently on how relays work and how to check them.
if this is the Fault once you have checked your circuit board then if you send us a detailed picture of the faulty relay I will try and match it up this will save you a fortune on having to buy a new circuit board

Hey Paul, thanks again and I will check the relay as you suggested at the weekend. My only question is why would I have all that water in the back that I drained out?

    Cheers

    Rob
