How a Condenser Tumble Dryer works

This video will show you How a condenser tumble dryer works & How to diagnose problems and find the fault

the difference between the two types of dryer are

  • Vented tumble dryers work by expelling warm, damp air through a hose and out of an open window or a vent installed in an external wall.
  • The condenser tumble dryer removes humidity by using two separate air flows. Air re-circulates inside the machine and is heated. Then it is passed through the damp clothes where it picks up moisture. Damp air is passed through the condenser in one direction while the room air is passed through the condenser in the other direction. This causes the moisture in the air to condense into water which is then pumped to the water tank or out through the hose.

Hi! Help!! I have a Hotpoint dryer, TD WSF 83 EPZ. After doing its sensing, it appears to begin the cycle… but after a couple of minutes it jumps to 00.03 and ends the cycle! There is some heat, but nit much. Once stopped, the red condensor light is on. The filters, condenser, and water container are all clean and empty, i have always regularly cleaned and hoovered etc. Any ideas?! Its only a few years old, was a replacement when they did the recall. Many thanks 🙄
