This video is on a tumble dryer that is not turning. There are only really three reason for a tumble dryer drum not to spin. First one is a complete failure of the motor or the pcb, second one is the capacitor failure and third one is you hear the motor running but the drum does not turn, indicating a snapped belt. A lot of our customers and YouTube viewers haves asked us how to change the belt on these tumble dryers, so we'll do just that even thou the belt on this machine is just fine as you'll see later in the footage.

I have a Hoover aqua dynnamique . When I turn it on it just hums and doesn’t turn . If I open the door and push the drum around a little bit then close the door and push the button it will work . Does it need a new belt or just adjusting . Also on each how much will it cost. In advance thank you for your help.

Excellent instructional video. Thank you so much. I am pretty handy, but I have never done this before and now I feel that I can. My dryer has a condenser, but I think I will be able to work around it.

I especially appreciate that you show putting it all back together and not just saying “installation is the reverse of removal”!

I also love that the washing machine next to the dryer is full of clothes just waiting for the dryer to be ready 😉

    Good afternoon

Thank you for your video. I followed it but unfortunately the drum is not turning like it is supposed to. I’m not sure I have the correct belt. I have asked at local shops and they seem to just want to fix it at a high cost rather than advise me.

I have an 8kg vented Hoover dryer. VHV 68C

I have fitted a 1930H belt with the problems above.

Unfortunately the old belt completely burnt out so I am unable to read any numbers.

I hope you can assist in some way.

    Thank you in advance

    Hayley
