Manuals don't always have correct model data

Gas and Electric Hobs have there id plates normally on the underside and can be very hard to get at. you can not order parts without having your full model number and sometimes on certain make you also need the serial number.

Gas and Electric Hob model numbers can be made up of numbers (1003220, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (PKE611C17E). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Hob model number tags may look similar to the sample model number plate shown here:

On most occasions you will need to either remove the hob or the oven below it, to gain access to veiw the id plate, in some kitchens you may have draws or a cupboard below them and you might find it easier to remove the draws than trying to remove the hob. if you have a oven below the hob you normally need to remove a couple of screws to slide the oven out and the you can get underneath with a torch to see the id plate and get the correct model number and serial number:

Appliances have a unique PNC/ENR number which begins with either 9 or a 6 depending on the appliance.
It is 9 or more digits long.

Bosch appliances have a unique E-NR (E Number) which will normally be found inside the door of the appliance.
Example E-NR’s:
HBM13B251B or HEN531E0/05
The FD number is the machines Serial Number
