Effortless Beko Oven Door Glass Removal For Cleaning

In this guide, I'll explain how to remove the inner glass from a Beko oven and also how to remove the door for cleaning. With over 40 years of experience in home appliance repair, I will try to make this guide as comprehensive and easy to follow as possible. You can follow these steps to keep your oven clean and ensure the door mechanism works efficiently. The cooker we used for filming was a Beko CIMYA91B oven, but it can be used on most of the new Beko ovens.

We strongly recommend watching our video, which shows you how to remove your door glass easily for cleaning purposes.

Removing the Inner Door Glass of Your Beko Oven

Step 1: Open the Oven Door

You will need to begin by opening your oven door. Older Beko models might have a plastic clip that needs to be removed with a screwdriver. For newer models, simply press the two buttons on either side to release the catches.

Step 2: Protect the Glass

Put a towel or soft clothing down on a flat surface to place the glass on. With this way, you will prevent your door glass from scratches or damage.

Step 3: Remove the Glass

Now, you will need to lift the glass up gently and slide it towards you to remove it. Remember that the shiny side without heatproof paint should face inwards when reinstalling.

Step 4: Clean the Glass

If you want to clean your door glass, you can use a strong detergent or oven cleaner with a soft green scourer to clean the glass. However, please avoid using wire scourers as they can scratch and weaken the glass, potentially causing it to shatter or show visible scratches through the door. Also, avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the glass or leave residues.

If you need a new door glass or any other spare parts for your Beko oven, you can visit our supplier's page with your full model number which is written on the identification plate.

Removing the Beko Oven Door

Now, let's remove the oven door. Depending on your Beko model, you might have one of two systems:

  1. Older Models: A catch locks over, allowing you to take the whole hinge out of the door. If you have this type of door, you will need to use a screwdriver to release the catch and carefully lift the door off the hinges.
  2. Newer Models: A button on the side releases the door. If you have this type of door, you will only need to press these buttons down carefully to avoid slipping and damaging the glass. Then, you can lift the door up until it naturally comes into position, and then slide it away.

Be cautious as the door hinges are under tension, which could cause injury or damage if mishandled. Remember, you should always handle the door with care to avoid any accidents.

Now, you can easily clean the door as you would with the inner glass, avoiding hard scourers and chemicals. During the cleaning process, you should have a look at the grease and stain marks. If you spot any, you can remove them thoroughly.

Reattaching the Beko Oven Door and Glass

Finally, you will need to lift the door and slide it back onto the hinges, making sure it goes into the correct runners. Lower the door and release the clasps on the inside and outside. After that, lock them into place using a screwdriver if necessary. Just open and close the door a couple of times to ensure it’s securely in place. If the door does not close properly, you will need to double-check the alignment and adjust as needed.
