Hot to Replace a Fan Oven Element in Your AEG Oven?

In this repair guide, we will explain how to replace the fan oven heating element in your AEG & Beko cooker oven. For safety, always ensure the appliance is disconnected from the electricity supply before starting.

We would recommend you watch our video since we're showing how easily you can fix the fan oven element problems.

Additionally, you can visit our web store to buy genuine spare parts: https://shop.how-to-repair.com/collections/cooker-oven-parts

Removing the Oven Door & Fan Guard Plate

You start by removing the oven door. Clips hold the door in place, and you lift them to release the door. Depending on your cooker model, hinge designs may vary. In most cases, the hinge latches over and locks the door in place. When you lift the latch, it lifts the whole hinge. Gently wiggling the door should help it come off smoothly.

Next, take out the oven shelves. The cooker model in the video had 11 shelf holders, one on each side. Some cookers have shelf holders built into the chassis.

Now, you can remove the fan guard plate at the rear of the oven. This particular one is held in place by four screws, although this may vary with different oven models. Some models have a back panel that simply lifts out. Behind this lies the element, which you can identify by its typical blown-out appearance. However, you'll usually need to test the element with a meter to confirm.

Removing & Replacing the AEG Fan Oven Heating Element

You will proceed to remove the element, which is held in place by three screws. The screw we have removed in the video, prevents the element from vibrating when the fan is running. The two main screws hold the element in place. Always be sure the cooker is disconnected from the power supply when working on it. The element usually slides out at a 45-degree angle, as the clips at the back are often angled.

Now, you can replace the old element with a new one, ensuring to connect the terminals firmly, and then you should secure it in place with the screws. Elements for various cooker models can be found on our website. Simply input your model number and the word element in the search facility to refine your search.

In this case, you can search for the fan oven element term.

Now, you will need to reassemble the fan guard plate and put the door back on. Although it's possible to work on the cooker with the door on, it's usually easier to remove it. For some cookers, you might need to take the cooker out of its installed position because there are bolts holding the elements in place which can only be accessed from the rear of the machine.

By following these steps, you can successfully change your AEG & Beko oven's fan element. Remember, you can watch our video to avoid any potential problems.
