Hi. I’m responding from your Youtube message in the comments. Sorry, can’t get to wherever the plate is to access the serial number – hence the question.
Candy GVCD101BC condenser tumble dryer’s front felt filter came away after a few years of use. I guess the adhesive failed, and it ended up in the drum with the washing, now the machine won’t run.
Getting the dryer into position was an absolute nightmare. I’d have to get a couple of other people involved to get it out again, and it’s going to make a hell of a mess. Only the front is visible, the rest is boxed in.
So my question is, can I get in through the front alone? On your video, you take the back and top off, but that’s a full strip down… I only need to access the front of the drum where this felt filter glues around (already bought one, ready to go). Thanks. Mike.

Hi there, I have noticed that my Candy CS C8DF-80 tumble dryer is very stiff to turn by hand. It’s 5 years old now, and I don’t know if it has always been this way. It still operates, there’s no buzzing that I can hear, but I just wondered if you had any experience with this model and if you could advise how easy it should be to turn the drum manually. My main fear is that if this is not normal, friction build up while in use could cause a fire. Thank you.

Candy CSV V9LG-80 Tumble Dryer Shuts Off After A Short While
Have Candy CSV V9LG-80 tumble dryer. It runs for a few mins, then stops. The machine beeps 3 times and all led lights flash 21 times then 2 second pause then flash 21 times again etc etc.. Also (worryingly) the heater element remains energized and a hot smell comes from the machine even when the control knob is switched to off. Only opening the door or unplugging the unit shuts off the elements. I have tested continuity on the thermostats (2 on element and one on front by lint trap) and all have continuity.
Can you offer any suggestions? Many thanks, Kevin
