Shaft snapped on my Hotpoint TVEL75B6AUK

by / Wednesday, 28 January 2015 / Published in

My shaft has snapped and i want to repair or replace it on a Hotpoint TVEL75B6AUK, the shaft is welded to the drum and i can't see how you would fit a new one without having to buy a whole new drum. Many thanks for your help

Kenny

Hotpoint Tumble Dryer Bearing & shaft Drum Repair Kit (For Riveted Drums) TVEL75B6AUK, TVEL75C6GUK, TVEL75C6PUK, TVFG65B6GUK, TVFG65B6PUK, TVFG65C6GUK, TVFG65C6PUK, TVFG85C6GUK, TVFG85C6KUK, TVFG85C6PUK,

Hi Kenny this will do the job the kit comes with a pear shape bearing

The manufacture now sells a Bearing Drum shaft Repair Kit (For Riveted Drums) it use to only sell the complete drum. this can be used on these Hotpoint models TVEL75B6AUK, TVEL75C6GUK, TVEL75C6PUK, TVFG65B6GUK, TVFG65B6PUK, TVFG65C6GUK, TVFG65C6PUK, TVFG85C6GUK, TVFG85C6KUK, TVFG85C6PUK,

I made a video a while back that show how to remove the old plate although they say you can drill the old ones out I prefer to grind them of as in the video because it will not leave any burs on the drum that can snag your clothes.
