Flavel Aspen 100 keeps tripping electric

hi I have a flavel aspen 100 oven AP10FRKP. I was using the fan oven yesterday and about 5 minutes into cooking my electricity tripped, I reset it everything came back on and 20 mins later came back to the oven to check how my food was cooking. The oven fan was working and the lights inside but the oven wasn't getting hot. After looking on the net I thought I was possibly the element that had blow so I ordered a replacement With did specify it was for my make and model oven. I fitted the new element but now when I try to put the oven on as soon as I touch the oven dial the electric trips. my grill still works fine my oven on the right hand side of the appliance and the clock etc still works any ideas what it could be or any instructions I can follow ive also read its possible it could be the Therma fuse but after reading various things my oven might not have one as they aren't supplied with them anymore but might need athermal cut out kit.Best regardsStuart
