Delonghi fan oven ESF461ST The element replacement

by / Wednesday, 26 April 2017 / Published in

Hello, I hope someone can help me!I am trying to fit a new element to a delonghi fan oven model ESF461 ST.The element is held in place by one screw on the left and 2 pins in the plate so I can't see a way it can be removed from the front so I think this has to be done from the back.I have removed the door, the back plate and unscrewed the oven unit. I have managed to pull it out about a foot but it won't come out any further.Could anyone offer any advice? What could be preventing it coming out? Also, assuming I get it out, I'm a bit confused by the whole self-tapping screw business for fitting the element. I've not used these before... Shall I see what comes out and get some new screws the same size? Thanks in advance. Please keep answers simple!Caz

I will try and help with this problem with your Delonghi ESF461ST fan oven.

There are two ways that these elements can be held in place, the first is that there are two screws that hold the element at the top and usually one at the bottom, sometimes the manufacturer puts bolts through the top, this means that you need to remove the cooker from its housing on take off the backplate to gain access to the wiring and the nuts,

The pin that you mention on the mount has on some models being replaced by a screw, I have listed a couple of videos below to help you replace the element, they are all basically the same type of procedure, I have also included a video to show you how to test elements, and that is a genuine element Andre Pattern element available for this model of the cooker.

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me. all the best Paul.
