I will try and help with your Hotpoint Washing Machine BIWMHG71484U problem
There are two possibilities that are going on here If it still has a little bit of water left at the bottom of the drum and the pressure switch has not allowed the machine to go into the spin cycle, or you may have a problem with the motor or the printed circuit board, from what I can see in the parts list below you have a three-phase motor this would indicate to me that it is more likely to be a printed circuit board. As you are telling me that the machine is doing a wash therefore the motor is turning.

My Hotpoint BIWMHG71284UK washing machine has noisy bearings. I can see the only official spare part is a new drum; that seems a bit of a pricy and wasteful solution; Is it possible to identify what the bearings are for this machine, and replace just them? Might they be removable from the drum?
