I will try and help with your Hotpoint Washing Machine NM111045WCAUK problem
Normally when door hinges get damaged with children hanging off the door on a washing machine it would not affect water leaking on the floor. It would break either the hinge or the plastic trim where the washing machine door seal fits too, but this would not normally cause any damage to the seal, he might have accidentally pulled the seal off the drum, although it is possible, he may have made a hole in the seal or the lip of the seal.
