I will try and help with this problem Indesit IDV 75 (UK)
Dear Andrew,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the recent flood to your mother's property. Let me assist you in addressing the issue with your Indesit IDV75UK machine. 🛠️
Firstly, it's important to identify the exact model of your machine. This information is typically found on the front panel, but you can also locate it on the identification label inside the door or on the rear side of the machine. 🔍
At the end of this message, you will find a link to a comprehensive list of all the machine's different models, provided by one of our suppliers. Please note that in our shop, we stock only the main components for this model, as detailed in the list. 📋
After a flood, it's crucial to ensure that the area is completely dry to avoid electrical issues with the machine or potential safety hazards. ⚠️ You mentioned that the machine stops functioning after 20 minutes, which could be due to a high amperage load from an improperly secured connection block. An insufficient power supply to the machine might cause it to temporarily disconnect from electricity, requiring a restart. 💡
It seems unlikely that the starter switch has failed so quickly. Therefore, I suggest examining all wiring from the electrical filter at the back right-hand side of the machine to the programmer. The start button receives power from the programmer, which then activates your selected time setting on the machine, energizing both the motor and heating systems. 🔌
The high amperage load typically occurs at this stage. Based on your description, I recommend inspecting all connections within the machine, ensuring that the door is securely closed and that its lock is functioning properly. 🔐 Please refer to diagram 215 for details on the door lock assembly. Additionally, check for any damage to the electrical filter and ensure that it is not failing under load. 📈
Lastly, test each component individually to confirm a consistent 240-volt supply to the machine. Connection blocks can sometimes cause issues if not installed correctly. I hope this information is helpful, and should you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us via our website. 🌐 Enclosed are some diagrams of the machine for your reference.
Unfortunately, I do not have a wiring diagram for this specific model, as they are rarely provided by the manufacturers. I trust this guidance will be of assistance to you. 🤞
Cheers,
