Morning Ashley! If you see a DE error code on your LG washing machine, it means the door lock isn't working properly. Don't worry, replacing the door lock is simple, and I've included a video below to help you out.
When you mention it's very weak, I find it difficult to grasp the sounds you're hearing. Sometimes, it's better to upload a video to YouTube and send us the link. But first, ensure that the door pin is fitting correctly in the door lock. Check if the door locks or tries to lock when you press the start button.
If the door remains open and you still receive a DE error code, then it's highly likely that the door interlock has failed. This is a common issue with many machine models as these door locks tend to fail over time due to their mechanical construction and being constantly energised every cycle.
