Neff V5340X0GB/04 Washer Dryer fails to warm and dry clothes
Hello, this is a washer/dryer and whilst drying clothes one day, it appears to have overheated as the exterior got incredibly warm after a run, and thereafter it would complete the cycle, but the clothes would come out wet. Opening the machine up, there is a red button which when pressed gets the machine working again, until it again trips a few cycles later.I don't know if this indicates a problem with the heating element\thermostat or points to some electrical problem.

I will try and help with this problem Neff V5340X0GB/04 Washer Dryer washing machine
The safety button that you're talking about is designed to cut out the heater when the machine overheats. I suggest you first make sure that water is going down the condensing plate at the back this is 0311 In the diagram below. the next thing you need to check is to make sure the whole unit has not got excess fluff building up In the airflow ducting system. then you need to check that the fan motor which is 0301 in the diagram below is rotating at the correct RPM as this is what pushes the air around the machine to dry the clothes (if it runs slow the system will overheat) The Water then condenses in the condensing plate which is 0 311 when the water has condensed it then the machine will pump it out. this is how the condensing process works it is also worth checking the carbon brushes in the motor as if the drum is not turning then the drying process will not work either.
